There will be a variety of opportunities to participate in General Plan Update. Your participation and input are essential to developing a community-driven plan that reflects our diverse community’s values and what we envision for the future Wildomar. Here are a few ways you can be a part of it!

Environmental Impact Report

Notice of Preparation 

A Notice of Preparation (NOP) has been prepared by the City of Wildomar for the City of Wildomar Proposed General Plan Environmental Impact Report (EIR) (proposed project). The NOP is available for public review and can be downloaded at the links below. The purpose of this NOP is to fulfill legal notification requirements, and to inform the public and Responsible and Trustee Agencies that an EIR is being prepared for the City’s Proposed General Plan. This NOP solicits agency and interested party concerns regarding the potential environmental effects of implementing the proposed Project and EIR.

 

The Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) Scoping Meeting was held on September 25, 2023 at 5pm via Zoom.

Planning Commission Study Sessions

Planning Commission Study Session #3

A special Planning Commission Meeting was held on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 at City Hall Chambers. The Planning Commission considered the draft General Plan Goals, Policies and Implementation Programs and provided recommendations for revisions to the City Council. The Planning Commission also considered the City’s economic development objectives and provided related guidance on updates to the City’s Development Code for the City Council’s consideration.

Planning Commission Study Session #2

A special Planning Commission Meeting was held on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 at City Hall Chambers. The Planning Commission reviewed further details of the Draft General Plan Land use Plan and provided a recommendation to the City Council regarding support for the Land Use Plan and Circulation Roadway Network Map.

A special Planning Commission Meeting was held on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 at City Hall Chambers to consider the Draft General Plan Land use Plan and Circulation Roadway and provide a recommendation to the City Council regarding support for the Land Use Plan and Circulation Roadway Network Map.

  • The project team provided Envision Wildomar 2040 project updates at the monthly “Coffee with the City” on August 16, 2023. This monthly event is hosted by the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce.

Online Surveys

    • Survey #2 Summary
    • The second online community survey for Wildomar’s General Plan Update was available for 5 weeks between November 30th, 2022 and January 4th 2023. A total of 239 survey responses were received. The survey solicited input on the Guiding Principles and Land Use Focus Areas. A full summary of results can be viewed at the link above.
